Gerlos, Zell, Königsleiten/Wald and Krimml are a true Eldorado for hikers in summer. The hiking network of the Zillertal Arena holiday region is more than 400 km long.

Branching off from the peaceful Gerlos valley are five other side valleys.

It is a perfect place for hikers of all types – from leisure hikers, to more ambitious hikers or experienced mountaineers.

The trails that lead you through these valleys are extremely diverse. They all start out gently and become more challenging climbs later on.

In the region around Rosenalm, Isskogel, Kreuzjoch and Wilden Krimml, you can choose from a range of superb hikes to mountain huts.

After many hours of enjoying pure nature and conquering mountain peaks, you can take a well-deserved rest in one of the many mountain huts and snack bars along the way. Try an authentic “Zillertaler Brettljause” (plate of coldcuts), a hearty soup or some spicy mountain cheese – sample the Zillertal local delicacies.
